i would like to introduce you to the newest member of the mccleskey family…
…hexie!
hexie is the mom of my parents dog, kaiser. she needed a new home and we were MORE than happy to help! her name was already hexe which i thought was cute because it matched roxie… so i am changing the spelling to hexIE so they can be twinsies π she “speaks” german and knows lots of commands. my favorite is “high-five” and i really want to teach her to play dead π
we picked her up on the way home from savannah, and it was a LONG car ride.
she spent most of her time alternating between this…
and this…
we made a pit stop at south of the border (of course)…
we finally made it to raleigh and introduced hexie to her new home!
matt already loves having a big dog buddy to play with…
we got her lots of toys to play with to welcome her home. this is what they looked like on monday night…
and this is what they look like tonight…
our house is a stuffed animal graveyard! hexie has chewed up all of her toys, and all of roxies toys! ive had to hide roxies favorites so they dont get massacred!
we are all learning each others habits and routines, and its definitely going to take a little adjusting…but one thing we know for sure is that she definitely likes having her ears rubbed π
we already love her and are so happy she came to live with us!
Lincoln wants to come play!! He can be the monkey-in-the-middle with Hexie at his head and Roxie on his tail π
A picnic and play date to be planned!
I just LOLed at the before and after pic of the toys — and Roxie in the after pic lookin’ all “can you believeeeeee this?!”
so cute π
My husband would love to have a German Shepard! And he would be on the floor with her just the same. Men are so funny.
