this was a packed weekend…but it was packed with fun! 🙂
on friday michelle came over to help me organize my pantry…because shes awesome like that!

after picking matt up from the airport we went straight out to the farm for some target practice. and i am SO glad we did, it made the next the next day much easier!
saturday we woke up super early so we could spend 8 hours in our Conceal and Carry Weapons class. there were 6 of us that went together and i am so proud because we all passed! we learned the laws about guns, gun safety, cleaning, how a gun works, you name it. it was really interesting and i am SO glad we did it. i was nervous around guns before but now i feel much more confident and while i still respect them immensely, i feel more in control around them and with them.

i definitely killed this guy, but i didnt get as many in the red 😦
after class, we decided to have everyone over for a cookout to celebrate! unfortuntely the skies opened and it POURED right after we bought meat for the grill, so we decided to move the party inside 🙂 this was our first dinner party, so we werent going to let the storm rain on our parade!
mmm….garlic butter corn and steak. if you live in raleigh get some steak tips at the meat house! do it!
matt did an awesome job grilling dinner, even if it was a little wet outside
on sunday, brittany stopped by on her way out of town. i gave her a tour of the house and then we had chubbys tacos for lunch 🙂
after britt left, we did some stuff around the house, ran some errands and knocked some stuff off our list. little by little, it’s getting there!
that night we ate leftover steak and some yummy kale chips! delicious end to a fun-filled weekend 🙂

Also, way to go getting your conceal and carry! Chris has his and I should get mine. Guns scare me. Maybe if I knew how to use one I wouldn’t be such a whimp!!

the boys and dad have guns ALL over the house and it really freaked me out! after taking the class i feel SO much better and more confident with them around. if chris has a gun in the house, i highly recommend you going to the class and learning about them and the laws and how to use them, because you will feel so much better.
i will tell you i really didnt like the shooting range, all the loud noises had me on edge, but when i shot out at the farm one person at a time i had no problem at all, i felt really good about it!
