one of my favorite trips of the year is when the whole family goes to the snipes beach house. its usually over easter, and we have the best time eating, playing games, talking and laughing. its very rare that we are all together at the same time so we definitely make the most of it!
on friday night when everyone got there we went to patronies for an italian dinner…
saturday morning we started out with a long bike ride down the island…

after all that hard work we headed to the pool for some tennis(for the athletic types) and relaxing(for the lazy ones…like me :))
(um, can anyone explain to me what my husband is doing? because i just dont know. :))
hanging with miss saylor by the pool…husby might need a little bit of training in how to hold a baby!
the juengels house is a couple of doors down from the snipes, so when we would walk back and forth from the pool we would get to stop and watch mr. brooks swing. he did this non-stop the entire weekend…
saturday night we celebrated all the “kids” birthdays…its a little tradition we have, and it makes for the most fun birthday cake ever! (in case you were wondering there are 8 names and 3 smiley faces on those balloons)
on sunday sydnie told the easter story and then renate and danny hosted a passover celebration. it was so cool learning the traditions and how they did things in the time of jesus.
