this was our first weekend home since the day after we bought our house, so we really enjoyed just being lazy, and working around the house, and exploring raleigh a little bit 🙂
on friday we took a family walk through the neighborhood so i could show matt the greenway…
for dinner we tried a new-to-us korean restaurant near our house, seoul garden. we were looking to replace our frequent trips to korea-town in nyc and this definitely fit the bill…
on saturday we worked around the house and took care of some things on the honey-do list 🙂
matt cleaning out the “box graveyard” in our garage…this was about halfway through.
we are so excited to be able to USE our garage now! 🙂
that night we celebrated our anniversary at second empire, a really great historical mansion-turned-restaurant in downtown raleigh. it had been years since id been there and it was great going on a fancy date with my honey 🙂
hanging out on the front porch while waiting for our souffle…
(…love those details in the woodwork)
they gave us a special plate for our dessert… so sweet 🙂
such a fun (and tasty!) night out!
sunday we headed down to the flea market even though it was supposed to rain…
it never rained but unfortunately there werent many vendors there! we did get a few vintage books though, so i was happy…
for dinner we grilled out on our back deck for the first time!
i have to say, it was quite a success!
we gave roxie my leftover veal chop from the night before and she was SO.EXCITED! she ate the meat off the bone and then carried that thing around for the rest of the night. she was so scared someone would take it she would nibble on it and then move away and then nibble on it, and move away. then she started hiding it all over the yard. she was cracking us up!
this is what she looked like for about 2 hours…
we are loving being in our new home! 🙂
I love it. You guys look so happy! 🙂
