on sunday we woke up bright and early ready for a few last adventures before heading home. we decided to check out some of York’s main attractions: the Cliff Path and the Wiggly Bridge. The weather was absolutely lovely and the view of the beach from the hotel was picture-perfect…
after getting bad directions from quite a few people in town, we finally found the Wiggly Bridge! SO little and SO cute! 🙂
Checking that off the list, we headed to the Cliff Path to walk along the coastline. I thought it was beautiful and I loved being out in the fresh air walking through nature!
next stop was Perkins Cove, a working fishing village nearby.
when we saw this sign, we knew exactly what we were having for lunch… you guessed it…lobster rolls! we were SO glad we came on the last weekend of the season because A. the food was cheaper and B. if we had missed out with all these places being closed we would have been SO sad!
at that point it was time to head back to Boston for M & S to catch their flight. But we decided to stop in Portsmouth, NH so we could say we had been there!
Portsmouth, NH…check! On to Boston!
It was just SUCH a pretty day so we drove into Boston for a few minutes (and a little ice cream) before taking them to the airport. I grabbed a few last minute shots as we drove around the city…
saying goodbye at the airport… so sad! it was an incredible trip. like living in a postcard! Definitely something to mark off our bucket lists! Love these two so much and so glad we got to share these memories with them!
Tara…I love them!!! I’ve been to so many of those spot over the last year too! Isn’t Perkins Cove the cutest little town ever?!!! Did you get to take that mile walk across the top of the cliffs while you were there? Ahhh, it’s making me so excited to see photos of New England…happily recalling memories from my visits 🙂
