my aunt cathy wanted to celebrate her 60th birthday in NYC, so this weekend was a girls weekend! we fit SO much in two days, i dont know how we did it, but we saw alot of the major attractions in nyc, had amazing meals, and even fit in a little shopping! it was so much fun and i got to snap some photos that i am really happy with š i got so many good photos that im going to put a general overview in these next two posts, and then give some of my favorites their own post later!
we started out saturday with breakfast and a long walk through central park. (matt joined us for this, and then left for philly to watch the MLB playoffs with dad)
we stumbled upon a country fair for dogs in the park!
it was so fun seeing all the different breeds! i loved these big boys that thought they were lap dogs!
columbus circle…
we stopped by st. patricks cathedral on the way to rockefeller center…
views from top of the rock…
this is my neighborhood! you can see my street straight across from the top of the pond to the left…the short terra cotta colored building with the white front is the natural history museum, which is on my street!
we decided to run through madame tussads wax museum because it came with the tickets we bought. i have never been, and it was actually pretty cool! it was also very creepy because some of the figures looked VERY real and i felt like they were going to jump out at me!
mom and miley…
brandi having a conversation with oprah…
cathy being interviewed by al roker…
me with madame tussad herself…this was her last figure she made and it was a self-portrait. we could have been friends, she was my height!
me with hugh grant…his movies are my favorite š
we walked through times square on our way to the circle line tour…
theres always something weird going on in times square, this time it was a zombie pub crawl…creepy!
we took a “harbor lights” tour on the circle line…it was AWESOME! the weather was perfect, we had a pretty sunset and we got some amazing views of the city! here are just a select few…
we took a loop around the statue of liberty, and it was breathtaking.
after a FULL day of sightseeing, we were so hungry, so we went to cafe fiorello for an amazing meal (its always amazing there!) we all 4 shared this veal and i even brought some home to matt! it was delicious and huge! haha
awesome day in my beautiful city!
