we did ALOT this weekend, so i broke the post into 3 parts, for the 3 days 🙂
this was our only “free” weekend this month, and the weather FINALLY turned cool and crisp so we were motivated to fit in as much as possible!
friday night husby and i had a little date before i went to see another fall for dance preformance with sarah. we started out at yakitori totto, a japanese restaurant that specializes in food on a stick. but this wasnt your average shish-kabob, this was top quality dining!
we sat in front of the chefs and it was so cool to watch him carefully turn the skewers. those are the skewers all lined up in front of him (these are all pics from my phone, we were sitting elbow to elbow with others at the yakitori bar and there wasnt much room for my other camera!)
the other sticks didnt last long enough for me to take a photo, but here is a bacon wrapped mushroom! matt loved these! i was a big fan of the short ribs!
we had PLENTY of time before i had to meet sarah so we walked around for a bit
we ended up at my favorite tea house in midtown and decided to get some tea and dessert before the show!
matt really loved his sweet thai even though you cant tell in this particular photo…
a perfect little dessert to end the evening…mochi!
it was a great night, and i saw a great preformance with sarah! 🙂
