we definitely made the most of our last day in california! ricky and i woke up early since we were still on EST, and walked down to the local coffee shop for some caffeine.
when we got back, we made a quick decision to do a kayaking tour of the sea caves that day and all rushed to get our bathingsuits on and get ready for some adventure! lauren needed a little convincing but i think(?) she was glad she went 🙂
here we are in our super cool helmets and life jackets…
we got really close to the sea lions and harbor seals! one of them even swam up to our boat so we could almost touch him, then he swam under us! so cute!
we got to go inside one of the sea caves, called the “clam cave”, because it spits you out. it was really cool!
after all that paddling we were ravenous so we headed to the burger lounge!
then after all that good food…it was nap time. ricky made a nest….
and i took a towel and passed out right on the grass in the sunshine. it was beyond awesome. (this is the adorable little house we stayed in! i love it!)
after naptime, lauren took us up the mountain to see the stunning vistas
…thats actually in her backyard. ricky called it a magic meadow and thats pretty much what it is 🙂
please excuse the pole in this next shot (i havent had a chance to edit yet) and focus on the beautiful view behind us!
we went to a different view to watch the sunset over the water
we ended the evening at yogi topi for some frozen yogurt and wahoo fish tacos….in that order 🙂
its really fun to say the name of this place….wahooooooo…. try it 😉
we had a blast in san diego, and i really just wish it wasnt so far away so we could visit more often!
You went kayaking!!! Oh man…my husband will be so jealous…he wanted nothing more than for sea animals to swim up to us when we went.
