on sunday we woke up bright and early to go see some of portlands lighthouses…it was cold. and windy. and beautiful 🙂
after looking at lighthouses, we walked on the beach a bit…
heres a nice little stone recliner where you can relax and watch the ocean…
ok, i want to spend Christmas in this house. think the family that lives there will mind if i show up on the front door next december?
on the way home we drove through the famous Kennebunkport
it got even colder as the day went on, and started snowing as we walked around…which sort of added to the charm
matt had to get in one last seafood fix before we went home, so we stopped at this cute little diner on the bridge
they are known for all the famous people who like to dine there(like the Bush’s!) and for their Blueberry Pie!
…ok i dont actually eat blueberry pie(or any fruit pie for that matter) but this in my opinion was tasty, and in matts opinion was “out of this world amazing!”
we finished our scenic drive by passing some gorgeous landmarks and beautiful architecture….
this is Walker Point, the Bush family compound….i bet that view is outstanding on a sunny day!
such a great weekend! we love marking destinations off our list!
Only one Husby, and a yum, instead of yummy. What camera did you use? Loved the house and lighthouse on rocks shot. Very nice. Maybe we could stay there in June for a couple days? Looks like a great place. LW
That must have been wicked cold, but it looks really fun – especially all those lovely buildings! One of my goals for the year is to learn to like seafood – or at least fish. I figure it’ll be healthier not to know whether I like shellfish or not!
the only seafood i eat is shellfish….i wish i liked fish, but just cant do it 🙂 but i dont eat alot of seafood either way 🙂 husby was in heaven, i stuck with mostly landlubber fare 🙂
