our last full day(for me and matt) had “absolutely perfect beach weather” written all over it, so we loaded up the jeeps…
…and headed for francis bay, our favorite of the beaches
the day pretty much involved: snorkeling, reading, sunscreen, diving, sunshine, shade, sharks, sailboats, sea turtles, laughing, floating, flip flops…you know, what perfect beach days are made of…here are some photos from the day, pretty sure they speak for themselves…
after all that sun and fun we were starving, so we went back to skinny legs for some burgers…and look who was there! these little buddies were so stinkin cute! there was a mama and a baby, and they were so friendly!
on our last morning we had our traditional christmas card family photo shoot…traditionally taken on the last morning before someone is racing to the airport 🙂
this guy watched us for awhile…
before he got bored and flew off to find some fish for breakfast…
let me tell you, we are PROS at getting our picture taken. it comes with the territory 🙂 here are some of the out-takes of the session…
we were so sad to leave st. john….but already looking forward to next years Christmas vacation, when we will try out another island!
Love looking through your pictures, Tara. 🙂
Love your blog! will be much easier to remember….and love the pictures and your captions from your Christmas vacation! 🙂
T.Hope,
I want one of those jackasses for Christmas, please.
Love,
Val
Those photos look gorgeous, but weren’t you just a little bit sad not to have a traditional white Christmas? I would have been terribly disappointed, beautiful beaches or no!
Katherine,
we left the day after Christmas! I don’t know if you saw the photos on the old blog but we still had traditional Christmas with both sides of my family and left bright and early on the 26th. 🙂 its the best of both worlds 🙂
